Remember, there’s no such thing as a silly question, so don’t hesitate to reach out, we love hearing from you!
When the shapes hit your eyes and patterns falsify, that's moiré. By using 8,000 small spheres, laid in a 20x20x20 grid, we will create an interference pattern called a 'moiré effect'. Your job is to lay out the spheres and spin the whole thing around to create a consistently moving interference pattern!
We are using a Box SOP to make the outline of our shape, and we want to place points by dividing the box up into equal points. Check out the Use Divisions parameter inside Box SOP to place equally spaced points.
The whole geometry is being turned by two S Curves, one in the x-direction and the other in the y-direction. They are staggered so check out the prepend and append parameters within S Curve CHOP to delay and extend the motion.
